Paul Holmes
The Paul Holmes brand was created by David Watkins. David was previously a carpenter and cabinet maker and this background is part of his unique collection. Working from his studio in Brooklyn, David works with precious stones and metals, often mixing the two. Many of his pieces have oak or wine barrels on the interior, combined with metals such as tantalum and palladium.
Tantalum has a is a dark blue-gray and is dense, ductile, very hard, easily fabricated, and highly conductive of heat and electricity. The metal is renowned for its resistance to corrosion and acids.
