While studying interior design in college, Nikki stumbled upon a metalsmithing class that eventually led her to an alternative career in jewelry design. In 2006, Nikki graduated from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville with a BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. With an appreciation for architecture, space, and scale, Nikki creates contemporary, wearable art.
Nikki's work combines modern and organic forms, mixed with forging and hammering techniques. All pieces are handmade using traditional methods of metalsmithing such as fabrication, forming, texturing, and stone setting. She believes in sustainability and only uses recycled metals, conflict free or recycled gemstones and diamonds, and practices environmentally safe practices in her studio.
